WAYS TO SUPPORT S.A.C.E.C.
Volunteer S.A.C.E.C. relies heavily on volunteers to help us carry out our mission. We believe that our volunteers are the “backbone” of the agency. In many cases our hotline workers are a victim's first contact with the center. It may be the first time a victim has ever spoke of their assault. This is why it is so important that we have dedicated and committed people to work with us. Volunteers can work directly with clients on our 24-hour hotline or support groups or work behind the scenes in the office or at our events! Event volunteering is a great way to help the Center without making a long-term commitment. Besides being extremely helpful to the Center, it is a fun way for you to get to know us and what we do! All direct service volunteers must successfully complete our Certification training program. We also ask that all volunteers help us with our events and public awareness campaigns. Call us at 203-348-9346 or E-mail us at klincoln@sacec-ct.org for more information. Invite our Community Educators to speak to your school or group Our trained Community Educators are available 7 days a week to speak to your group. Sexual violence and personal safety education is all we do. This allows us to stay current on the latest cases, statistics and teaching methods about this sensitive topic. All of our programs are age appropriate, non-threatening and extremely professional. We offer several standard programs or you can create your own. You pick the topic and we will do the research! All programs are free of charge and are available to audiences pre-school - adult. No groups smaller than 5 please. Contact us for more information about how your group can benefit from our educational programs or to schedule a presentation.
Help keep SACEC's services free and available for years to come! With decreased revenue from Federal, State and Local resources, we are being forced to rely on donations for much of our funding. Help us keep our doors open! We gladly accept all forms of donations. Make checks payable to S.A.C.E.C. and mail to One Dock Street, Suite 320, Stamford, CT 06902 or make a donation on-line.
Sponsor an edition of our quarterly newsletter --"TELL". S.A.C.E.C. publishes a quarterly informative newsletter designed to help parents and professionals keep up with the current events and trends in the issue of sexual violence. To learn how your company or organization can become a sponsor, please contact us.
Attend one of our our events! S.A.C.E.C. sponsors several great events each year. Attending events or participating in one of our awareness campaigns is a rewarding and fun way for you to support all of the men, women and children who's lives have been affected by sexual violence. Help us take a stand against sexual violence! For a full listing of up-coming events and a review of our success at past events, please visit our events page. If you would like to be added to our mailing list, please contact us!

If you think you have a talent or skill that would benefit the Center, we would love to hear from you. It is a very rewarding issue to be involved with. You can make a difference in so many lives.
Event Committees The Center sponsors several events throughout the year and could use your help to make them a success! This is a great way to get the know the agency and the issue without a long-term committment. For more information about either of these opportunities, please contact us!
